Got up really early and headed out for glove testing in sub-zero temps. Today was bluebird, but very cold in the shade. Went with short cuff gloves, parked at Empire Canyon Lodge and headed up Empire. No man-made snow over here in Deer Valley, so it was very thin. Not really skiable other that down the uptrack. Gloves worked really good for warmth. As a mitten-only wearer for my 40 year ski career, the new design is a revelation.
